Fans' collective energy is generally fuelled by a sense of anticipation, particularly for an update regarding their favoured superstar's upcoming film. In the case of Prabhas, the anticipation in the air currently is almost unfathomable and if you were to take one quick look at social media, you will gather what we are talking about. Prabhas, who is no longer just a Telugu actor but a bona fide 'pan-Indian' superstar, has two massive releases - Adipurush and Salaar - lined up for 2023 and by all means, both films boast chances of becoming all-time blockbusters.

And it wouldn't be unfair in saying that Salaar is the bigger prospect of the two. With the super successful combination of Prashanth Neel and Hombale Films at the helm and Prabhas playing the titular role in the high-octane action thriller, the film promises to be a major checkpoint in the history of Indian cinema. Salaar is scheduled to release on September 28, 2023, and the makers are said to be inching very close towards completing the shoot of the film.

Could this be because Prabhas requires Adipurush to be prioritized over Salaar for now? Although there is no indication for this to be the case, one learns that fans will have to wait until June for the promotional content of Salaar to be rolled out. Adipurush, which is slated to release on June 16, is yet to fully pique the curiosities of its potential audience and for this reason, the makers of the mythological epic could be wishing for Salaar to stay out of their way for now.

Well, all this is conjecture at best but there is no denying that team Adipurush has a few intense months ahead. The film's teaser, which was released a few months ago, was almost unanimously trolled for its lacklustre VFX work and since then, director Om Raut and co. have seemingly been extra cautious about how they promote the film. With no more than two months left for the film's global theatrical release, team Adipurush has to pull up its socks to ensure excitement is stimulated in the audience.
