Come December, Prabhas fans will finally be able to witness the superstar in all his 'Salaar' glory after the long and taxing wait. The first part of Prashanth Neel's film, titled 'Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire', is set to release in theatres worldwide on December 22 and needless to say, the countdown has begun already with great gusto. OTTplay recently learnt that the team plans to begin promotions - interviews, public events, etc. - early December, prior to which the trailer of the film could be expected to drop.
And as it turns out, the all-important trailer will be out in December to kick things off with a bang. OTTplay learns from Chaluve Gowda, co-founder of Hombale Films, that the much-anticipated visual treat is set to drop on December 1st and that an official announcement will be made by the production house in a couple of days. Speculations have been rife on social media and other places about Salaar - Ceasefire trailer releasing by early December but Hombale Films now confirms that December 1 is the chosen date for the mega update.
The trailer would be the second major glimpse of the film, with the teaser (dropped back in July 2023) offering a peek into the larger-than-life created by Prashanth Neel and Co. Prabhas plays the 'most violent man' in the film and will be joined by exciting ensemble cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, Easwari Rao, Tinnu Anand and several others. Writer-director Neel has once again mustered a competent team to deliver on the incredible expectations of the fans, with his core team of KGF 2 - art director Shivakumar, cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda and music composer Ravi Basrur - back in his battallion.
Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, of course, is slated to meet Rajkumar Hiran's 'Dunki' at the box office with the Hindi film (starring Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee) releasing a day prior on December 21. Both titles are big in stature in their own respective rights which could result in a rivetting clash at the box office but beyond that, moviegoers would be excited to catch both films on the big screen. Prabhas fans, in particular, would hope to see the actor making a thumping return to form following a couple of underwhelming results in the form of 'Adipurush' and 'Radhe Shyam'.
