Salaar character poster: Shruti Haasan's first look as Aadya unveiled on her birthday

Makers of Saalaar released a new character poster from the film. The upcoming movie stars Shruti Haasan in a lead role as Aadya. The action-thriller film stars Prabhas as the main lead.

The lead hero also shared the new special poster introducing the leading lady of the film on her birthday. He also called her the 'energy ball'. The full caption on Instagram reads, "Wishing my entertaining heroine, the energy ball on set @shrutzhaasan , a very Happy Birthday! #Salaar (sic)."

Helmed by the KGF fame director Prashanth Neel, the forthcoming action-packed movie is set to be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada.

The filmmaker also wished Shruti on her birthday by sharing the new character poster and writing a heartfelt note to his heroine. He also thanked her for being a part of the venture and making the set colourful.

Bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films, the upcoming pan Indian film will also be dubbed in Hindi. 

The producer also wished the actress on her birthday and wrote a beautiful note to her on the official Instagram page of the production house. The caption reads, "To the epitome of beauty & elegance. Our #Aadya who always sets up the glam quotient high, one of the most multi talented & versatile actress. We love you @shrutzhaasan. #HBDShrutiHaasan #Salaar (sic)."

The music has been given by Ravi Basrur in Salaar, which also features Jagapathi Babu, Madhu Guruswamy and Easwari Rao in pivotal roles among others.

Salaar is slated to have a theatrical release on April 14.
