Saiyami Kher is extremely happy about the fact that her film 8AM Metro has finally got its OTT release date. A year after its theatrical release, the movie is headed for its digital premiere on ZEE5. The film will drop on May 10, 2024. Before its release, Saiyami expressed excitement over 8AM Metro's release on the streaming platform. She also called the Raj Rachakonda directorial a 'small budget film made with all heart'. The actress shared screen space with Gulshan Devaiah in the movie.
Saiyami Kher on 8AM Metro and its OTT release
In an official statement, Saiyami Kher said she is happy that 8AM Metro found a home on OTT. The actress stated, "(It is) a small budget film which was made with all heart. And I’m very happy to be a part of this film. 8AM Metro is a heartwarming, slice-of-life film which taught me more about myself."
She added that the film is about how two strangers come into each other's lives and make each other better people through this unique friendship. In a joint statement, Saiyami and Gulshan mentioned that their film had a limited theatrical release prevented many potential viewers from watching it on the big screen.
However, they are happy that the overwhelming interest in 8AM Metro's digital release reaffirmed the need to bring it on OTT. In the movie, Gulshan was seen as Preetam while Saiyami essayed the role of Iravati.
8AM Metro on OTT
A few days ago, Gulshan Devaiah confirmed the OTT release date of 8AM Metro. The actor took to his Instagram handle and shared the update with his followers. The caption to his IG post read, "Yeh kahaani hai doh anjaan logon ki jo rojmarra ke safar mein bann gaye pakke dost! Dekhiye ek dilchasp kahaani 8AmMetro premieres 10th May, bilkul free sirf zee5 par (sic)." Produced by Raj Rachakonda and Kishore Ganji, the film had a theatrical release on May 19, 2023.
