The mainstream headlines have been about Saif Ali Khan ever since a burglar broke into his Mumbai Residence and attacked the star whe he tried to protect his family. While he got discharged last evening and is back home, seems like the controversy pool is not leaving his back as a new report no claims that that his family might just end up losing properties worth Rs 15,000 crore to the government of India. Yes, you read that right. Reports say that the government could take away a massive chunk of fortune from the Khan’s under an act that makes it possible.
Saif Ali Khan’s Family to Lose ₹15,000 Crore Worth Property?
As per NDTV, the government can seize properties under the Enemy Property Act, of 1968. In a ruling, the Madhya Pradesh High Court lifted the stay on these properties in 2015. Under the act, the government has the right to take control of the properties of those who migrated to Pakistan during the partition. The Nawab of Bhopal, Hamidullah Khan, had three daughters, one of whom migrated to Pakistan, while another stayed in India.
Saif is the grandson of the daughter who stayed back. However, the government considers the migrant daughter as grounds to claim the properties. Assets Saif might lose include Flag Staff House, Noor-Us-Sabah Palace, Dar-Us-Salam, Bungalow of Habibi, Ahmedabad Palace, Kohefiza Property, among others.

A burglar intending to rob entered Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Mumbai residence. When Saif tried to confront him to protect his family, the thief stabbed him six times, leaving him wounded. Two wounds were major, and Saif was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. While recovering, he was discharged last evening and is now back home.
Kareena Kapoor issued a statement requesting privacy:
“It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request the media and paparazzi to refrain from relentless speculation and coverage.
While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny poses a significant risk to our safety. I kindly request you to respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal as a family. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time.”
