Actor Saif Ali Khan in a tragic turn of events was stabbed by an alleged thief who trespassed his residence in Mumbai.

In a series of shocking events in an elite locality in Mumbai, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s house was busted by a burglar who reportedly trespassed with the intention of robbery, but when Saif tried to stop him, the actor was stabbed multiple times by the burglar. The news broke early hours of January 16 and took place around 3:30 am midnight. It is said that Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif’s elder son, took him to the Lilavati Hospital in the city. As per the latest reports, now Saif is out from surgery and is in the recovery room. His team has now confirmed that the star is out of danger. For the unversed, according to several reports, a doctor from Lilavati hospital confirmed that Saif Ali Khan has suffered six stabs from the burglar and two of them were severe. The actor has undergone surgery for the same and is now out of danger, as confirmed by the representatives of the star. The team has now given out a statement that the actor is out of danger and the family is safe too.
The team in a statement wrote, “Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery, and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe, and the police are investigating the incident. We would like to thank Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, Dr. Leena Jain and the team at Lilavati hospital. Thank you to all his fans and well-wishers for their prayers and thoughts during this time.”
Meanwhile, even Kareena Kapoor Khan’s team also issued a statement after the unfortunate incident. It read, "There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and (his wife and actor) Kareena Kapoor Khan's residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine," Kareena Kapoor's team said in a statement. "We request the media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the police are already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern," the statement said.
