The last 24 hours have been about tracking Saif's health and the ongoing investigation. It was in the evening when the face of the attacker was seen in the CCTV footage, allegedly from Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residential tower. Now, as per the latest reports, Mumbai police have finally found a breakthrough in the case, reportedly arresting the main accused in the stabbing row after it was said he was last seen at Bandra station.
Main Accused in Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Row Arrested
In a series of shocking events in an elite locality in Bandra, Mumbai, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's house was busted by a burglar who reportedly trespassed with the intention of robbery. When Saif tried to stop him, the actor was stabbed multiple times by the burglar. The news broke early hours of January 16 and took place around 2:30 am midnight. It is said that Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif's elder son, took him to the Lilavati Hospital in the city. Now reports and viral videos claim that the main accused has been arrested by the Mumbai police.
A manhunt was launched by the Mumbai police throughout the city, and the main accused was being searched. The video from the CCTV footage gave the cops a face to hunt him down. It is said that he used the fire exit staircase to enter the premises of the 11th floor, where Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan stay. The accused has been arrested, brought to the Bandra police station, and is now being questioned by the police, as per the Economic Times report.
Meanwhile, early investigations had concluded that the attack was done with the intention of robbery, and the attacker demanded ₹1 crore from the actor’s family. Kareena Kapoor, last night, issued a statement regarding the same, requesting everyone to give the family privacy to process and heal from the unfortunate turn of events.
The statement read:

As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from relentless speculation and coverage. I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family. I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time.”
