An unknown assailant attacked Saif Ali Khan at his Mumbai home, and the actor is now under the care of doctors at Lilavati Hospital. Plastic surgery is still in progress, but neurosurgery is over.
According to reports in the Indian Express, the Mumbai police have linked the assailant to one of the house workers who initially let him in. Officers are questioning the househelp.
Two serious wounds on Khan's back, one dangerously close to his spine, and a slight lesion on his neck were among the six stab wounds he sustained. While Khan, his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, and other members of their family were asleep, the incident occurred at approximately 2:30 in the morning.
The burglar stabbed Khan with a knife at his apartment in Mumbai's Bandra region early Thursday morning, injuring him, according to officials. Khan had to undergo surgery at the hospital.
The home of Saif was the target of an attempted break-in. Currently, he is in the hospital having surgery, the actor's publicist stated. They kindly asked fans and the media to be patient, highlighting that the authorities are currently investigating the matter and would provide updates as they become available.
An unknown person allegedly stormed into Khan's house and grew violent with the actor, according to a police officer. Several members of Khan's family were present at the time of the incident. Khan was taken to Lilavati Hospital after sustaining injuries from the knife attack; his condition is said to be stable.
An unnamed senior police official would not comment further when asked whether the event included an attempt at robbery, stating that an investigation was ongoing. The Bandra police have started their investigation after quickly rushing to the area upon the report's receipt.
As additional individuals in the house began to awaken, the assailant allegedly ran away from the scene of the stabbing. The police have announced a manhunt to apprehend the assailant.
In their pursuit of the perpetrator, the police have assembled numerous task forces and have begun the procedure for filing a First Information Report. Officer Daya Nayak and other Mumbai Crime Branch members were spotted making their way to the actor's residence. The Mumbai Police is also investigating the incident. A report in the Indian Express states that the Mumbai Police have apprehended a few individuals.
His spine remained unharmed by the stab wound, according to sources at Lilavati Hospital; he underwent ten sutures to close the wound. He lucked out because the stabs didn't hit any major organs. He appeared to be defending himself against a robbery attempt when the knife attack occurred. There are four wounds total: two serious, two moderate, and two superficial.
