Sagileti Katha: RGV unveils Edo Jarigey, a haunting melody from the Navdeep-backed film

In a season where several mainstream actors are turning their focus towards film production, backing small-budget films with refreshing plots, Navdeep has decided to present a rooted rural drama titled Sagileti Katha. Ravi Mahadasyam, Vishika Laxman play the lead pair in the film produced by Deviprasad Baliwada and Ashok Mittapalli under Shade Entertainment and Ashok Arts.

The drama marks the directorial debut of Rajasekhar Sudmoon, who’s also the writer, editor and the cinematographer of the film. While the trailer opened to encouraging responses recently, the first single from the drama titled Edo Jarigey was unveiled by maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma in the presence of the cast, crew today. Jaswant Pasupuleti scores the music for the film.

Keertana Sesh, Kanakavva have crooned for Edo Jarigey, which has lyrics by Pavan Kundani and Rajasekhar Sudmoon. Edo Jarigey is a refreshing melody with a pleasant vibe where Kanakavva’s initial segment brings a rustic touch and enriches its texture. Keertana Sesh’s expressive, soothing rendition perfectly voices a girl’s feelings for the man of his dreams.

Ram Gopal Varma applauded the team for the film’s trailer and Keerthana Sesh’s singing, wishing the team ahead of its release. The lead actors, producer and Pawan of C-Space thanked the director for encouraging team Sagileti Katha and expressed confidence about the film’s result. The film’s shoot was wrapped up recently and it is gearing up for a mid-September release.

Narasimha Prasad Panthagani essays another crucial role in the drama. Sanal Vasudev will be composing the background score for the same, the crew also comprises art directors Hemant G, Aishwarya Kulkarni, costume designer Harshanjali Senikeshi. Saregama acquired its audio rights. More details about the release date, promotional campaign will be shared shortly.
