Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo's Isha Talwar and Angira Dhar on their characters and dialect in the Homi Adajania directorial | Exclusive

Homi Adjania's crime drama, Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo has Dimple Kapadia, Radhika Madan, Isha Talwar, and Angira Dhar in significant parts. The cast and director of the show caught up with OTTplay to talk about the show at hand.

Talking about the action sequences in the show, Isha Talwar said, “I had to go to the workshop. Homi Adajania had given us extensive information on the character and the dialect and we also did action training.”

On the other hand, talking about her character Angira Dhar said, “Homi had a very clear understanding of what he wanted out of Kajal (her character in the show) so it got easier for me to portray it and embody it. Because he had clarity.” 

Talking about getting the dialect on point for the show, Isha reveals that she was scared that it shouldn’t get caricaturist. She added, “When you pick up a dialect then it should sound natural otherwise you look like a fool. And if the language is not perfect then it becomes a problem. We were given the dialect coach so that made it easier.”

Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo, which is produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Monica Dogra Naseeruddin Shah, Varun Mitra and Ashish Verma in key roles along with Udit Arora, Jimit Trivedi and Vipin Sharma as supporting characters.

Meanwhile, in Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo, the women are the ones doing the labor-intensive work from the very first scene. As Savitri, a cunning family matriarch operating a successful drug business in the made-up desert town of Rann Pradesh, Dimple Kapadia owns every frame. The cartel, posing as the Rani Cooperative, makes more potent cocaine called Flamingo with the help of daughter Shanta (Radhika Madan), daughters-in-law Bijlee (Isha Talwar), and Kajal (Angira Dhar), and sells it to the highest-bidding foreign customers.
