Pushpa, the two-part action film franchise, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Sunil and Fahadh Faasil, directed by Sukumar is among the most-awaited releases across the country. The first part of the action adventure Pushpa (The Rise), produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, is all set to hit theatres on December 17 in five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Pushpa has music by Devi Sri Prasad. Two tracks from the film, Daakko Daakko Meka and Srivalli, have already struck a chord with listeners. The third song Saami Saami will be launched on October 28 at 11.07 am.
The promo of Saami Saami, ahead of its launch on October 28, was released today. Mounika Yadav has lent her voice for the peppy folk number which has lyrics by Chandrabose. The song opens with the lines, 'Nuv Ammee Ammee Antaante, Nee Pellannaipoyinattundiraa Saami..Naa Saami..Ne Saami Saami Antaante, Nee Perimitilekka Sakkangundiraa Saami.' (I feel like your wife when you call me 'baby', You feel like my husband when I say Saami) Saami Saami has a catchy musical hook and a beat that'll tempt you to put on your dancing shoes instantly.
Mounika Yadav is a well-known name in the digital space for her folk numbers and it's good to see her voice reach out to more crowds with Saami Saami. The promo suggests that she has hit it out of the park with this one. Singer Rajalakshmi Senthiganesh has crooned for the Tamil version which has lyrics by Viveka. Ananya Bhat, Sithara Krishna Kumar have rendered the Kannada and the Malayalam versions, lyricised by Varadaraj Chikkaballapura and Siju Thuravoor respectively.
The wait for Saami Saami on October 28 has just gotten more excruciating with the song promo. It has all the trappings of a chartbuster track. Pushpa album has an interesting mix of numbers already. While Daakko Daakko was a part conversational, part rustic song, Srivalli was a heartwearming melody and now we have a folk song in the album. Devi Sri Prasad and Sukumar's collaborations have resulted in memorable albums in the past and Pushpa promises to be an addition to the ever-growing list. The film has cinematography by Miroslaw Kuba Brozek and is edited by Karthika Srinivas.
