After having made his Bollywood debut with Loveyatri, Aayush Sharma went on to star in Salman Khan's Antim, for which he earned critical acclaim and immense love from the masses. Now, Aayush Sharma is back with yet another action-packed film, Ruslaan, whose trailer was released today.
The trailer begins with the voiceover, “Har insaan apni zindagi mein koi toh jung ladta hai. Magar jab ladaai apne pehchaan ko ho, yaa toh who sab kuch haar jaata hai, yaa apna naam sabki zubaan par chod jaata hai. In the initial few seconds, the trailer becomes successful in establishing the character of the film’s leading man, Ruslaan (Aayush Sharma).
It then cuts to the grand entry of Ruslaan, a rockstar who is a music teacher. Amid all this, it is decided that he will do an Advanced Business Course abroad.
In a strange turnaround of events, the guitar-holding Ruslaan gets transformed into a gun-wielding dashing man. He shows no mercy and is trigger happy when the bad guys confront him.
Just when audiences are confused about his real identity, there comes another confusion that is a kind of giveaway of his character. In one scene, Ruslaan is seen having an intense conversation with his father, where he states (read ‘confesses’) that he is tired of hiding his identity and that if they have to wipe away the stain on them, he has to go to war so that he and he and his father can live with their heads held high.
All of this paves the way for Sunieil Shetty’s character's entry, who compliments Ruslaan by telling him that he likes his name. When he asks him the meaning of his name, Ruslaan replies (with pride i his eyes), “Lion”. At this, Suniel Shetty tells him to "go to his jungle.” Then we once again see a chiselled Ruslaan battling the bad guys.
As soon as the trailer was released, netizens were all praise for Aayush Sharma and his magnetic screen presence. While one netizen wrote, “Three Things Are Goosebumps In The Trailer 1.... Star Aayush Action 2.... Suniel Shetty Look 3.... Cinematography & BGM”, there was another who wrote, “Blockbuster sure shot, Aayush Sharma nailed it”. Yet another wrote, ‘Full action pack movie sure it will blockbuster”.
As for the film Ruslaan, besides Aayush Sharma and Suniel Shetty, it also stars Jagapathi Babu, Sushrii Mishraa and Vidya Malavade in important roles. While the film has been produced by K K Radhamohan, it has been directed by Karan L Butani. The film has been scheduled to be released theatrically on April 26.
