Rupali Ganguly on prequel Anupama - Namaste America: I was nervous thinking how I could pull it off

In the web show Anupama - Namaste America, Rupali Ganguly discusses her younger appearance. In the 11-episode prequel to the television series, the actor will reprise her role as Anupama. She was, however, hesitant about portraying her 17-year-old self in this prequel.

Rupali, who has received a lot of positive feedback for her appearance on the show, told IANS that in Anupama - Namaste America, she didn't do much for the look transition because it's all about her on-screen performance for her. The actor was a little apprehensive about how she was going to pull off the prequel story's need that she seems younger. It's tough to seem 17 years younger naturally, so she didn't want it to look overdone.

She described the difficulties, stating that, furthermore, doing it as an actor with a running TV show was difficult for her. Rupali is 45 years old on the television show, and she will be 28 in this prequel.

The producers opted to keep the actor's hair open rather than knotted, as it was in the television series, to make her look 28. The usage of make-up is likewise quite modest. Everything else hinges on her performance.

Sudhanshu Pandey reprises his role as Anupama's husband, Vanraj, while Alpana Buch, Arvind Vaidya, Paras Kalnawat, Ashish Mehrotra, and Ekta Sariya reprise their roles as Baa, Bapuji, Samar, Toshi, and Dolly, respectively.

Earlier, while talking about the prequel, Rupali had said that Anupamaa is a person who has helped her develop as a performer. It gives her great pleasure to see Hotstar Specials present Anupama - Namaste America becoming the first show to air concurrently with a live television show on Hotstar. The prequel will present a previously unseen part of the franchise. Because the famous show already has a large fan base, Rupali is convinced that the prequel will allow the audience to form a stronger bond with the character.

Anupama - Namaste America will be available on Disney+ Hotstar starting April 25.
