Runway 34: Ajay Devgn's aviation thriller film has now landed on OTT

Ajay Devgn’s third directorial venture, Runway 34 has finally arrived on OTT after its theatrical release. Directed by and starring Devgn, Runway 34 also features Rakul Preet Singh and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles.

The actor Devgn took to social media to announce the news today. Sharing a gif of the actor in pilot uniform, he tweeted: "Captain Vikrant has arrived on OTT! Catch #Runway34 only on @PrimeVideoIN 🍿."

Netizens seem to be enjoying the movie again on OTT. Many users are sharing their reviews of the film. It is being appreciated for its tight screenplay, performances of the actors and director of Devgn. A user called the film, 'ahead of its time.'

The film was released in theatres on April 29, 2022. It received fairly good reviews but could not fare well at the box office. Many fans have also expressed their concern as to why it didn't do well commercially, despite being a good movie. A part of the OTTplay review reads, "When it comes to technical aspects, the film excels stupendously as it leaves one on the edge of their seat, especially in the first half."

The aviation thriller is based on a true event, involving an accident and investigation of a Jet Airways flight, which was flying from Doha to Kochi. Due to bad weather and low visibility, the flight being flown by Captain Vikrant Khanna (Ajay Devgn), had to be diverted to Thiruvananthapuram.    

The film was earlier available on a rental basis on Amazon Prime Video. Ajay Devgn had earlier said in his statement that Runway 34 is his dream project and he is glad that the movie will reach a wider audience through the reach of OTT. 

The film also stars Aakanksha Singh, Boman Irani, and Youtube personality Carry Minati, in pivotal roles. The film is produced under the banners of Ajay Devgn Films and Panorama Studios. Catch the show now on Amazon Prime Video.
