Spark is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual in the making that’ll be a launch vehicle for newcomer Vikranth. Mehreen Pirzada has been roped in to play the female lead in the film. The film formally commenced shoot in Hyderabad a few weeks ago. Hridayam composer Hesham Abdul Wahab, who’s working on Vijay Deverakonda-Samantha starrer Kushi, is also part of the team.
There’s a new, exciting addition to team Spark. Rukshar Dhillon, who earned huge praise for her performance in Ashokavanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, has come on board as another leading lady. The actress, who shot to fame with her appearances in films like ABCD and Krishnarjuna Yuddham, had signed the dotted line for the film recently.
The bilingual is helmed by a debutant Aravind Kumar Ravi Varma, who had earlier assisted cinematographer Ratnavelu. The former will also crank the camera for Spark. The film is currently being shot across scenic locales while the location is kept under wraps. Deaf Frog Productions is bankrolling the project. The makers are confident about giving an ideal, grand launch for Vikranth.
The supporting cast includes Vennela Kishore, Satya, Srikanth Iyengar, Annapurnamma and others. More details about the film will be unveiled shortly. Meanwhile, Mehreen’s recent release, the comic caper F3, will have its OTT premiere across two platforms this weekend - SonyLIV and Netflix. Rukshar Dhillon’s Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam is currently streaming on aha.
