Rudrabinar Obhishaap Part 1 trailer hints about the ancient curse from Tansener Tanpura

Tansener Tanpura became one of Hoichoi’s most-viewed web series. Thus, the makers decided to take the story forward in the form of Rudrabinar Obhishaap (Curse of the Rudra veena). They have now released the trailer of the first part from the series which hints about what the curse really is.

Anangarh is a place where women are not allowed to touch the rudra veena. One woman did so and thus, the curse broke free. In fact, the trailer also hints at how Tansener Tanpura began with Rudrabinar Obhishaap’s curse.

The curse is that every musician is killed one after another. A mysterious character named Naad is also introduced to the series. Is he the victim or the killer? The trailer hints at both his sides.

Vikram Chatterjee and Rupsa Chatterjee play the roles of Alap and Shruti respectively. They played the characters in Tansener Tanpura as well.

Saurav Das joins the cast as Naad, while Ditipriya Roy plays Saaz in the series. Ushasi Ray is also a part of the show in a pivotal role.

Talking about the project, Rupsa said in a press statement that she was often asked if Alap and Shruti would come back together. She also revealed that they will solve mysteries this time around too, with musical cues.

Hoping he has done justice to playing the part-antagonist, Saurav said, “Naad is a character that has a negative shade and much more intrigue points that cannot be explained until and unless one sees it.”

Meanwhile, Ditipriya said that it was surreal to join the show as Saaz. The actress promised that she is an important character and the one people can connect to.

Rudrabinar Obhishaap Part 1 is directed by Joydeep Mukherjee. It is slated for Christmas release i.e. the show will be available on Hoichoi from December 24.
