SS Rajamouli's RRR has become the biggest hit in the country. The Jr NTR, Ram Charan starrer, which was released in five languages, collected close to Rs 500 crore in its first weekend. Recently, at an IFFA event, Salman Khan was seen talking about the epic period action drama movie, where he mentioned his concern about Bollywood films not working in the South that well.
The Bollywood star started talking about the actor and his friend Chiranjeevi and mentioned that it has been a wonderful experience for him to be working with the South star and he has known Chiru Garu for the longest time. He added that Cheeranjivi's son Ram Charan is also a dear friend and has done an amazing job in the Rajamouli directorial.
The Dabangg actor further said, "I am very proud of him (Charan). It feels so good that he is doing so well. But I wonder why our films are not doing so well in the south. Their films are doing so well here."
During his speech at IIFA, Salman also said that heroism always works in films, which now the filmmakers are lacking in Bollywood and they should go back to that concept. The Wanted actor also informed the audience that he is gearing up to work with Chiranjeevi on an anticipated project.
RRR, which also marks the Telugu debut of Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, has managed to stand tall even after the weekend in India and internationally too.
