Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is determined to elevate the third installment of his highly successful Singham franchise to new heights. Recognising the loyal fan following of the cop film series, Rohit and actor Ajay Devgn are committed to delivering something truly exciting. Rohit in an interview said that Singham has a loyal fan base, and they are giving their heart and soul to this film.

"One has to upgrade themselves to do better and create something exciting," Rohit said in an interview with PTI.

The action-packed franchise kick-started in 2011 with Singham, followed by the 2014 sequel Singham Returns. The movies chronicle the story of the honest and fearless cop Bajirao Singham and his relentless fight against injustice and corrupt politicians. Ajay will reprise his iconic role as the titular character in Singham 3, which is currently in the pre-production stage.

In an interview with Pinkvilla earlier, Rohit said, “I am excited for making Singham. I am excited because you will see a different Singham in the film this time. It’s huge, the script has turned out well. It’s unique and it is the most loved character that I know. I am excited that Ajay and I are coming back together on Singham again.”

Ajay dropped the hint for third installment of Singham in Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi. It is also speculated that veteran actor Jackie Shroff will play the villain in the film.

Expanding his cop universe beyond the silver screen, Rohit ventures into the digital space with his debut series Indian Police Force on Amazon Prime Video. Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi and Shilpa Shetty, among others, the show promises the same larger-than-life action and commercial appeal that have become synonymous with Rohit's films.

Regarding his debut digital project, Rohit said, "It was almost like shooting a film. I never felt I was doing something for OTT. It is as good as making a film. It is quite commercial. I have kept my fingers crossed that audiences love it. The action is larger-than-life. I hope, the way they have given love to Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi, they give the same kind of love to Indian Police Force as well."

Marking the 12th anniversary of Singham, Shetty recently shared a poster of the film on social media, with the caption, “12 years of Singham”. Beyond the Singham series, the successful collaboration between Shetty and Devgn extends to films like Zameen, the Golmaal franchise, and comedy film All the Best.
