Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani trailer: Ranveer Singh reveals Shamita Shetty is his all-time favourite contestant on Bigg Boss

The much-awaited trailer for the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani was released today and gathered a great response from fans. Among a lot of grand and funny sequences, Ranveer's dialogue about Shamita Shetty and Bigg Boss caught the audience's eye. 

In a particular scene of the trailer, Rani's family discusses the importance of voting and encourages more people to participate. Surprisingly, Rocky (Ranveer), confesses that he no longer votes. He explains that he stopped voting because Shamita Shetty is no longer a contender. When questioned about the constituency she represents, Ranveer clarifies that he is referring to Bigg Boss!

Makers dropped the trailer with a special caption that reads, "In his 25th anniversary year, Karan Johar brings to you - a rollercoaster journey taking you through an epic love story in a new-age era, topped with hearty laughs and posing questions about love, family and the meaning of breaking away from generations of family traditions in the name of love. (sic)."

Soon after the release of the trailer, Shamita took to Twitter and wished Karan Johar for his upcoming film.

Bankrolled by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios, the Karan Johar directorial is written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy.

The upcoming film also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles and has Tota Roy Chowdhury, Ronit Roy, Saswata Chatterjee, Karmveer Choudhary, Arjun Bijlani, Shraddha Arya, Sriti Jha, Bharti Singh, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Arjit Taneja, Aamir Bashir, Namit Das and Kshitee Jog as key characters.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani releases in theatres on July 28.
