Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani trailer: Tollywood fans call the Karan Johar family drama a rich remake of the Telugu classic Bommarillu

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is one of the most awaited films in recent times. Karan Johar makes a comeback to direction after a long gap and ropes in Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt to play his main leads. The film boasts popular stars like Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan in key roles and will be released on July 28 worldwide. 

The makers have revealed the trailer today and it brings back vintage Karan Johar into the foray. Right from the visuals to the casting, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani looks like one hell of a family drama. Now that the trailer has gone viral, movie lovers in Telugu states have started posting interesting comments about the film and their comments have caught our attention.

One of the most common comments about the film is that Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani looks like a rich remake of the Telugu blockbuster hit Bommarillu which had Genelia and Siddharth in lead roles. The romantic family drama was produced by Dil Raju and made both Genelia and Siddharth overnight sensations with this film.

The trailer of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani shows the lead pair planning to impress their families by swapping places and living with them for a few days. Scenes related to this conflict have also been highlighted in the trailer. Now, going back in time, the Telugu film, Bommarillu also had the same concept as the character of Genelia goes to Siddharth's house and starts living there to impress his family. 

The only difference here is that both Ranveer and Alia swap places in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and in Bommarillu, it is only Genelia who goes to the hero's house. As the situation, characters, and scenes remind us heavily of Bommarillu, social media is filled with comments about the Kjo family drama.
