Going by the buzz around all the Sankranti releases in Telugu 2023, there’s no doubt about who’s the frontrunner at the ticket window. Every promotional activity has been working in favour of Balakrishna’s action entertainer Veera Simha Reddy, right from the promos to the music and the looks and the latest making video, released by the makers, is the perfect icing on the cake.
Titled Roar of Veera Simha Reddy, the glimpse looks just the ideal tool to build hype around the film, leading to its pre-release event to be held at Ongole on January 6, 2023. The making video gives everything that a viewer expects out of it, from intense team discussions to the fun moments behind the scenes and the spectacular efforts that went into the making of a mass-pleasing star vehicle.
Viewers get to witness both the looks of Balakrishna in the video - as a youngster and another ‘salt-n-pepper’ avatar of an elderly man. Balakrishna and Shruti Haasan share many light-hearted moments on the set while Gopichand Malineni’s unwavering focus is on display as well. Burra Sai Madhav, BVS Ravi, the producers, S Thaman, Balakrishna’s family and other crew can also be spotted in the glimpse.
Three songs from the film were released in the recent weeks, including Maa Bava Manobhavalu, Suguna Sundari, Jai Balayya, all managing to impress Balakrishna’s fans and music buffs. Kannada star Duniya Vijay makes his debut as an antagonist in the action entertainer that also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Naveen Chandra, Malayalam actor Lal, Australian model Chandrika Ravi.
The shoot of the film had commenced in early 2022. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, Veera Simha Reddy is cinematographed by Rishi Punjabi, edited by Navin Nooli with AS Prakash handling production design. Ramajogaiah Sastry is the sole lyricist with Ram-Lakshman, Venkat working as the stunt directors.
