RJ Balaji is basking in the success of his latest offering Veetla Vishesham. Now, the latest we hear is that he showered the film's team with gifts. Veetla Vishesham is a remake of the Hindi hit Badhaai Ho, which starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta, Gajaraj Rao and Surekha Sikhri as part of the star cast. The Tamil version featured RJ Balaji, Aparna Balamurali, Sathyaraj, Urvashi and KPAC Lalitha. The film was directed by RJ Balaji along with NJ Saravanan.

Taking a leaf out of Kamal Haasan's book, RJ Balaji had aggressively promoted the film, just like Kamal Haasan did for Vikram. RJ Balaji ensured that not a day passed by when the audience wasn't reminded of the fact that Veetla Vishesham was releasing and continuously churned out teasers and promos to pique the curiosity of the audience. Kamal Haasan had later showered the Vikram team with gifts, which included a luxury car for the film's director Lokesh Kanagaraj and luxury watch for Suriya, who appeared in a special cameo in the film.

Now it looks like Balaji, too had followed suit. We hear that he handed out cheques to his assistant directors.RJ He also presented a gold chain to NJ Saravanan, who co-directed the film. This is their second venture together after Mookuthi Amman. Balaji also seems to have gifted a luxury watch to the film's producer, Boney Kapoor. What's interesting is that while its usually the producers that shower the team with gifts after a film's success, this time around it's the leading actor himself who has come forward with the gesture.

The plot of the film revolves around a middle-aged couple who get pregnant much to the chagrin of their grown-up songs. The film also breaks the stigma around woman who decide to have a baby in their later years, an idea that has been ridiculed in the Indian society.
