RJ Balaji's Veetla Vishesham, hit screens last Friday and since then the film has been running to packed houses. The actor has been aggressively promoting the film, which is a remake of the Hindi film, Badhaai Ho, directed by Amit Sharma.

During the recent leg of promotions, the actor was in Coimbatore, where he met a fan of the film, who had into a movie hall after three decades. The middle-aged woman, Amudha, had come along with her grandchildren to watch the film. When her grandchildren informed Balaji, who was in the theatre to promote the film, that she was watching a movie in theatre after Nattamai (The film, directed by KS Ravikumar, had Sarathkumar, Khushbu and Meena in the lead), which released in 1994, he was taken aback. When Balaji quizzed her if she would watch the film again and she nodded in the affirmative. Amudha also complimented Balaji and said that she enjoyed watching the film. The actor later shared a video of the same on his social media page.

Balaji also released the song 'Nooru Kovil' from the film and wrote on his social media page, "Here’s the most awited and our favourite song from #VeetlaVisheham ‘நூறு கோயில்’ with the divine voice of Jairam Balasubramanian and Bombay Jeyashree !!! 💖http://bit.ly/FamilyPaattu

Thank you @ggirishh and @pavijaypoet for this gem 💎 (sic)." Girish, too, thanked the actor-director and wrote, "My favourite 😍 Thank you @RJ_Balaji for enabling such music and musicians to be a part of contemporary Tamil Cinema 🙏🏽 (sic)."

The actor said that he had travelled across 900 km to capture the reaction and that the reactions were totally worth it. "Traveling almost 900kms a day across districts is worth when you see reactions like this ❤️❤️❤️We couldn’t be more happier. Thank you for trusting us one more time !!! ❤️❤️❤️#VeetlaVishesham (sic)."

The film revolves around a middle-aged couple who get pregnant, played by Urvashi and Sathyaraj. Balaji has doubled up as the director of the film along with NJ Saravanan.
