Riteish Deshmukh Vs Ajay Devgn confirmed in Raid 2? Here is what we know

Get ready to witness action and drama all in one! If reports are to be believed, famous actor Riteish Deshmukh would be seen as an antagonist in Ajay Devgn and Vaani Kapoor starrer Raid 2. The film would be directed by Rajkumar Gupta while Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar would produce it. With this development, it would be the first time when Riteish would be in the negative role against Ajay Devgn.

Renowned for his remarkable portrayals in negative roles, Riteish Deshmukh is set to engage in an on-screen showdown with Ajay Devgn for the first time, marking a departure from their previous collaborations in comedic films.

According to a Pinkvilla report, the Raid 2 shoot commenced in Mumbai last week and is scheduled for extensive filming in various locations including Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. This venture promises to showcase a different dimension of the actors as they delve into the narrative of this anticipated film.

In December last year, actor Ravi Teja marked the commencement of Ajay Devgn's film Raid 2 by giving the mahurat clap. Ajay shared a snapshot from the inaugural shot on Instagram, capturing a moment of shared smiles between him and Ravi Teja. The caption read, "New Case, New Beginning! #Raid2 officially kicked off today, and the energy on set was nothing short of electrifying! Shukriya @raviteja_2628, for gracing the mahurat shot." The theatrical release of the film is slated for November 15.

Raid is a 2018 crime film directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, featuring Ajay Devgn, Saurabh Shukla, and Ileana D'Cruz in prominent roles. The movie is based on the real-life income-tax raid conducted by officers of the Income Tax Department in the 1980s. The film was theatrically released in India on March 16, 2018, and received generally positive reviews from both critics and audiences. Raid proved to be a critical and commercial success, achieving entry into the esteemed 100-crore club in India.
