Rishi Kapoor was a perfect blend of acting talent and good looks. After making his debut as a child artiste in Chachi 420, the late actor played the protagonist in his father, Raj Kapoor’s directorial venture Bobby, which became a blockbuster hit in 1973. Rishi breathed his last on April 30, 2020, after battling leukemia for two years. Today, on his 71st birth anniversary, Bollywood celebrities and his family members remembered him with heartfelt messages.
Rishi’s wife, actress Neetu Kapoor shared a video featuring scenes from actor’s films. The video included glimpses from movies such as Bobby, Chandni, Sagar and Karz. “In remembrance”, she captioned the post.
Rishi and Neetu’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shared two childhood pictures with her father in her Instagram stories with the caption, “Happy Birthday Papa. Miss you a little more today..” and “Papa ki CARBON COPY”.
Rishi’s niece, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan also paid tribute to her uncle with a throwback picture of him smiling. “Happy birthday Chintu Uncle. Always in our (heart emoji). Miss you (star emoji)”, she wrote on the picture.
Actor Sanjay Dutt posted a picture of himself with Rishi and his son, actor Ranbir Kapoor, on social media with the caption, “Chintu Sir was more than family, he embodied the essence of one of the finest actors and human beings. His infectious laughter, stories, and genuineness knit us together. On his birth anniversary, the void he left is palpable, but the warmth of his memory keeps him alive in our hearts. Miss you, sir”.
Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan paid a tribute to the late actor by sharing a throwback picture with him. He captioned it, “Chintu miss you buddy, it’s 4th Sept Celebrate!!!”
