Rifle Club on OTT: When, where to watch film

The film’s OTT rights were snapped up by Netflix ahead of its release on December 20. Rifle Club ended its box office run with an overall sum close to Rs 16 Cr at the Indian box office, according to industry trackers Sacnilk.

Despite the largely positive reviews , the movie had to face competition from other Christmas releases in Kerala including Unni Mukundan’s Marco, Mohanlal’s Barroz and Suraj Venjaramoodu’s Extra Decent.

Earlier this week, Netflix had confirmed that the film will drop on the platform on January 16 in all the South languages along with Hindi.

What is Rifle Club’s plot?

The movie revolves around a gunfight between two groups – an arms dealer’s gang and members of a shooting club in Wayanad. After two youngsters get into trouble with the son of an arms dealer, Dayanand (Anurag), in Mangalore and flee to seek help of a superstar, Shanavas (Vineeth Kumar), they are offered shelter at a rifle club. Armed with just their sheer skill at handling the guns, the members take on the gang in their own territory. But are their skill enough to face the automatic artillery that the latter bring into the fight?

Aashiq has shaped the movie as a tribute to the Western films, but with an Indian twist – making it all the more appealing to the audience.

The film’s ensemble cast, which also includes Vani Vishwanath, Darshana Rajendran, Surabhi Lakshmi, Suresh Krishna, Unnimaya Prasad and Vijayaraghavan, is another reason to not miss Rifle Club on Netflix.
