Rifle Club will begin streaming on Netflix on January 16, 2025. The platform has already listed the movie among its big releases this week. The film has an ensemble cast, also featuring Darshana Rajendran, Vani Vishwanath, Dileesh Pothan, Hanumankind, Suresh Krishna, Surabhi Lakshmi, and Senna Hegde.
Actor-director Vineeth Kumar plays a superstar Rifle Club, who decides to get himself trained in hunting for an upcoming movie. He approaches a rifle club in Wayanad, and while there, his acquaintances who get into a fight with an arms dealer in Mangalore, seek shelter. How the two groups go at each other, in a battle of wits and weapons form the plot of this film, which also has Aashiq Abu as its cinematographer and co-producer.
Despite its action, the movie is not violent in any sense, as compared to Marco which was released along with the film on December 20. Moreover, Rifle Club also boasts of great performances – from its female cast members as well as debutants such as Anurag Kashyap and Hanumankind.
Though an action-thriller, it has liberal doses of humor through its eclectic characters, and at a runtime of less than two hours, the film is breezy watch for fans of all genres. Rex Vijayan’s music also elevates the viewing experience of the film, which also pays tribute to several Western movies.
