Rifle Club, the action thriller film directed by Aashiq Abu, has been receiving immense love from both the audiences and critics. The multi-starrer, which hit the big screens on December 19, 2024, has impressed the cinephiles with its unique making style, and performances. If the latest reports are to be believed, the OTT rights of the recent has been bagged by the popular streaming platform, Netflix. The movie is expected to make its streaming debut, after its theatrical run.
If the latest updates are to be believed, popular OTT platform Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Rifle Club. The recent updates suggest that the OTT rights of Aashiq Abu’s multi-starrer film have been sold for a whopping price. The Dileesh Pothan-Vijayaraghavan starrer is expected to stream on the platform by the end of January 2025, after the film completes its threatrical run. Rifle Club is expected to stream on Netflix in five languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
For the uninitiated, Aashiq Abu’s film revolves around a couple, who accidently kills the spoilt son of an underworld don, named Dayanand Bare. The seek refuge at a Rifle Club in the hills of Wayanad, Kerala, which is founded by three passionate hunting enthusiasts and expert shooters. The same night, a leading Malayalam actor named Shajahan reaches the Rifle Club, arrives at the Rifle Club to learn shooting for his next film. Dayanand Bare, on the other hand, reaches the club to avenge the death of his son.
Rifle Club features a massive star cast including Dileesh Pothan, Vijayaraghavan, Vani Viswanath, Anurag Kashyap, Darshana Rajendran, Unnimaya Prasad, Vineeth Kumar, Suresh Krishna, Senna Hegde, Hanumankind, KPAC Azeez, KPAC Sunny, Vishnu Agasthya, Navani Devanand, Ramzan Muhammed, and others. Rex Vijayan composed the songs and the original score. Aashiq Abu himself handled the cinematography. V Saajan handled the editing. Rifle Club is produced by OPM Cinemas and TRU Stories.
