Mirzapur star Ali Fazal was denied paternity leave after daughter Zuneyra's birth; Richa Chadha reveals, "Everyone was like, 'Haha...'"

In July 2024, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal welcomed their first child, a baby girl. They named her Zuneyra Ida Fazal. The new parents are yet to reveal their daughter's face. Ali Fazal was denied a paternity leave

While speaking to Faye D'Souza, the actress revealed that Ali asked for paternity leave after Zuneyra's birth but he was denied. She said that fortunately, his shoot got pushed and he was able to be with her and their daughter. Richa said, "Ali asked for paternity leave after we had our baby, and he did not really get it. Everyone was like, 'Haha, really you want? Okay, one two weeks is fine.' It was a miracle his shoot got pushed for some other reason, but he was able to be with me, and I can't explain how terrifying it can be for a new person."

Richa further said, "You are dealing with all kinds of emotions, there is no sleep, all kinds of aches and pain and so much brain fog... It is so helpful to have a partner around you. Not everyone can afford amazing childcare in our country."

When Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha announced the birth of their baby girl

In July 2024, the lovely couple shared the first glimpse of their daughter on Instagram in a joint post to announce her arrival. Along with it, they wrote, "Doing a collab post to announce the biggest collab of our lives!! We’ve been blessed indeed. Our baby girl continues to keep us very very busy. So Thank you all for your love and blessings .."

Richa and Ali started dating each other on the sets of Fukrey. After dating for quite some time, they tied the knot in 2020 under the Special Marriage Act. Two years later, they celebrated their union on a grand level in Delhi and Mumbai. During her pregnancy, Richa was seen promoting her web series, Heeramandi, which was helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. 

Ali Fazal was last seen in Mirzapur 3 co-starring Shweta Tripathi, Rasika Dugal, and Pankaj Tripathi.
