Richa Chadha announced her pregnancy earlier this year. The actress is expecting her first child with her husband Ali Fazal. Two months after the announcement, Richa has now opened up about the new phase of her life. The actress told Hindustan Times that both she and Ali are excited about this phase. The mom-to-be added that she has seen her mother go back to work within 40 days after her younger brother was born.

Richa Chadha told HT that she likes to go with the flow. "Whatever Ali and I do, we do with a lot of fluid movement, it’s all organic. We are both excited for this new phase. I am not very American about this," she said. The actress mentioned that she has witnessed women in her family go back to living their lives as they would after childbirth. And hence, Richa doesn't want to stress about it.
The actress was further asked how she's balancing her pregnancy with promotions of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Richa feels she has been able to balance it well. Since the cast of her show knows about her pregnancy, they take care of her and keep asking her if she needs anything.

"It’s got easier since people got to know. I worked hard for the show and wanted to be there to promote it," added Richa.
Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal's married life
Meanwhile, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have been married for nearly four years now. The actress got legally married to Ali in 2020. However, they celebrated their union with friends and family in 2022. And now, the couple is expecting their first child.
For those who are unaware, Richa and Ali dated for a long time before they decided to tie the knot. They met on the set of their film Fukrey and hit it off instantly. Their friendship soon blossomed into love. Although the couple started dating in 2015, they made their relationship official two years later, in 2017.
Cut to now, Richa and Ali are gearing up to embrace parenthood soon.
