Naga Chaitanya is high on the success of his debut OTT series Dhootha. His new film is Thandel which is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti of Karthikeya fame. Sai Pallavi plays the female lead in this film. The shooting of the film is currently under way in Mangalore.
We, at OTTplay, had already reported that Sai Pallavi joined the shoot a few days ago and now, we have some juicy info about her character in the film. Well, we have come to know that Sai Pallavi will be seen as a girl from the Srikakulam region and will be seen as a village belle.
The interesting factor is that her character, though rebellious, has social idealistic values. She will also be speaking the Srikakulam dialect, as per the reports.
The gossip in the film circles is also that Sai Pallavi's character has been named Satya, who will bring in the actual twist in the love story. The concept of the film will be unleashed as a conflict between the main lead Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi and it will form the proper drama in Thandel.
Speaking about Thandel, Sai Pallavi says that she loved the vision of the director Chandoo Mondeti and that is the reason she said yes to the film. Sai Pallavi also requested everyone to support this film as it is an impressive script and is being made on a massive scale.
Not many know that Sai Pallavi took a very long time to say yes to the film but the fans are super thrilled that she has signed a Telugu film after a long time. This is the second time that Sai Pallavi has teamed up with Chay Akkineni after their hit film Love Story.
Devi Sri Prasad, who won the National Award for Pushpa, will compose the music for this film which is being produced by Bunny Vas. Most of the film will be shot on the beaches of Vizag and its surrounding areas. The action drama will be made on a budget of Rs 55 crore, which is the highest ever in Chay's career.
