Seasoned screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad remains tight-lipped about his upcoming movie, which will be helmed by his son SS Rajamouli. In a podcast interview, the host was very unsuccessful in extracting any new information about the project from the veteran scenarist, who has crafted the story of some of India's biggest blockbusters.

Speculations were rife that Rajamouli was considering some Hollywood talents to cast in the upcoming movie, which will be headlined by Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. When Vijayendra was asked to react to such speculations, he neither confirmed nor denied it. Instead, he nonchalantly nodded at the possibility, saying, "We have not approached anyone but there is a possibility."

After the host's repeated attempts, Vijayendra revealed very little about the movie and reaffirmed the movie's genre, which by now has become common knowledge among movie buffs. "It's going to be an African adventure," he said.

And when he was asked to comment on the Indiana Jones influence on the project, Vijayendra had a very different reaction. "We give Indian Jones a reference because we don't have any other options. But, it's going to be an adventure," he added.

Barring a few exceptions, Vijayendra has scripted most of Rajamouli's directorial ventures. He was also part of the director's latest global hit RRR. He was credited as the writer of the film's story, which explored a blindspot in history. RRR was inspired by the two Telugu tribal leaders who fought against the British Raj. Although the two iconic leaders, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, never crossed paths in reality, the movie imagines a fictional scenario where they form a deep friendship and unite in rebellion against the imperialistic regime. The movie was a big hit, not just in India, but across the world. And it created history by bagging an Oscar for composer MM Keeravani's dance number Naatu Naatu.

Vijayendra had earlier revealed that he was also working on the sequel to RRR.
