HanuMan is locking horns with Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram on January 12

HanuMan, the blackhorse among the Telugu films for Sankranthi 2024, is facing the music from theatre owners in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, as it tries to lock horns with Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram on January 12. Many within in the fraternity have expressed worries about how HanuMan is being denied a chance to bag a decent number of screens despite announcing the release date earlier.
While the screen count of HanuMan is yet to be finalised in Telugu states, several leading distributors have come forward to distribute the film in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala states. One of the more eminent names in Karnataka - KRG Studios - has acquired the release rights in the State. The banner is also distributing another Pongal biggie in Karnataka - Dhanush’s Captain Miller.
Meanwhile, Sree Gokulam Movies and Dream Big Films, which recently released Dunki, have bagged the release rights in Kerala. For the Tamil version (in Tamil Nadu), HanuMan team is joining hands with Sakthi Film Factory for the release. Polimera 2 fame Vamsi Nandipati will be releasing the film in Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh, with Mythri Movie Makers distributing it in Nizam region.
The film will have an own release in the US by the production house Primeshow Entertainments in association with Nirvana Cinemas. The makers this evening have also confirmed that the pre-release event will be held at N Convention, Hyderabad on January 7. It is believed that Chiranjeevi has given his consent to attend the promotional event.
Teja Sajja is headlining the superhero film directed by Prasanth Varma. Amritha Aiyer plays the female lead in the mythological fantasy also featuring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai, Getup Srinu and others. The film has three composers - Krishna Saurabh, Hari Gowra and Anudeep Dev. ZEE5 has acquired the post-release rights of the much-anticipated project.
