The upcoming film Somante Krithavu, starring Vinay Forrt, has been generating buzz with its intriguing promos and teasers. The latest from the film is that the release date has been announced.

Vinay recently took to social media to reveal that his film will release on October 6. Directed by debutant Rohith Narayanan, Somante Krithavu centres on Soman, a concrete worker played by Vinay Forrt. Fara Shibla, known for her role in Asif Ali's Kakshi Amminipilla, plays the female lead. The cast also includes scriptwriter Bipin Chandran, who was involved in Mammootty's Best Actor and Paavada. Manu Joseph, Jayan Cherthala, Niyas Narmakala, Seema G Nair, and Malikappuram fame Devanandha play important roles in the movie.

Somante Krithavu trailer and promos promise a light-hearted entertainer

In the teaser,  Devanandha, who plays Soman's (Vinay's) daughter in the film, reveals her name as 'India' to the principal of a school during the admissions interview. The amusing teaser further reveals that Soman had another secular name in mind.

Vinay plays Soman, a man who yearns to get married, in the film, which is a comedy entertainer revolving around Soman and his married life. Soman has several quirks, and one can see from the trailer that one of them is an aversion to buying vegetables from local shops due to fear of pesticides.

Vinay Forrt's upcoming projects

Meanwhile, Vinay's last film to hit theatres was the Nivin Pauly-starrer Ramachandra Boss & Co. The film, which hit theatres as an Onam release, was a disaster at the box office.

Vinay is currently shooting a film helmed by Appan director Maju. He also stars in Family, which is directed by Don Palathara. The film, with Mathew Thomas in a pivotal role, premiered at the Rotterdam International Film Festival. Family also won the Best Film Award at the Halicarnassus Film Festival in Turkey.
