Rekhachithram, the long-awaited film that stars Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan in the lead roles, finally hit the theatres today (January 9, 2025). The movie, helmed by The Priest fame director Jofin T Chacko, is an investigation alter-history drama film, which unfolds through two timelines. Asif Ali plays an investigation officer in the film, which stars Anaswara Rajan as a young nun. After its initial shows, Rekhachithram receives relatively positive reviews from the audiences.
The Jofin T Chacko directorial, which hit the theatres today, impressed the cinephiles, especially with its excellent performances and technical aspects. Even though the netizens suggest that Rekhachithram is not an edge-of-the-seat thriller, they are impressed with the film’s making and how the narrative unfolds. Asif Ali, the leading man has impressed the audiences with his balanced performance in the film. Anaswara Rajan’s portrayal of the mysterious character also impresses the audience. While the first half received mixed reactions, the second half and climax impressed the viewers.

Asif Ali appears as Vivek Gopinath, a young police officer in Rekhachithram, which stars Anaswara Rajan as Rekha, a young woman who went missing many decades back. Manoj K Jayan, Zarin Shihab, Siddique, Bhama Arun, Megha Thomas, Jagadish, Nishanth Sagar, Indrans, Harisree Ashokan, TG Ravi, and other essay the supporting roles in the film. Mujeeb Majeed composes the music score. Appu Prabhakar is the director of photography. Shameer Muhammad handled the editing.
