Asif Ali has made a terrific start to 2025 with Rekhachithram, which continues its successful run at the theatres even a week after its release. The leading man was also in the news after his video of consoling a teary-eyed artiste, who was upset about her scene getting deleted from Rekhachithram, went viral. The popular Malayalam actor had promised artiste Sulekha that he would make up for it. Asif Ali did just that and has released the deleted scene of the artiste from his movie on YouTube. Asif Ali releases deleted scene of Sulekha from Rekhachithram

Asif Ali took to his Facebook page on Thursday, January 16, and shared the scene of artiste Sulekha from Rekhachithram.

The scene features Sulekha’s character telling Asif Ali’s cop that she did not go missing but had eloped with her man. This appears to be a scene as the cop tries to put together the pieces of the mystery plaguing the film. The around 10-second scene has been released on Think Music India's YouTube channel.

In the caption on Facebook, written in Malayalam, Asif Ali said, "This is Sulekha chechi’s scene that got deleted. We had promised on the day of the film’s release itself that we would release it for her. Now, we have fulfilled that promise.”

The video on YouTube is also garnering many likes and comments. People are lauding Asif Ali and director Jofin T Chacko for the kind gesture. One user pointed out that even if it is a small scene, it would bring happiness to chechi and her family. Another comment read - “I am happy that they put this scene here. Congrats to Asif”. Yet another person said - “Huge respect to the entire team.”
