Red Notice has certainly made waves with fans with its action-filled witticisms and star-studded cast. The film’s director Rawson Marshall Thurber recently opened up about the possibility of a sequel to the Netflix action comedy film.
In a recent interview with Collider, Thurber revealed that although there were no concrete plans for a sequel as yet, he had been thinking about how he would approach the project. The filmmaker said he had also been having discussions about the same with Netflix, although he was not working on a script for the same.
Although Red Notice opened to negative reviews from critics, its performance in the digital sphere seems to have more than made up for it. The film, which premiered on Netflix, broke the streaming giant’s record for the most-watched film on its opening day. It is presently the second most-watched film on the platform, after Sandra Bullock starrer Bird Box.
Red Notice tells the story of an FBI agent who decides to team up with a skilled art thief to locate three precious artefacts before they get into the hands of another robber, nicknamed The Bishop. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot in lead roles along with Chris Diamantopoulos and Ritu Arya.
