Rebel Moon – Zack Snyder reveals that Sofia Boutella was his first and obvious choice for Kora

The whole 2023 have been a rollercoaster of a year with several major events and big releases like Barbie, Oppenheimer, Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse, John Wick Chapter 4, The Super Mario Bros. Rebel Moon: Part One: A child of Fire early release

On December 7, director Zack Snyder announced that Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire will be released a few hours earlier to its original release, which is on December 21. The main fact is that only people from Pacific Time (PT) can get the chance to watch the film early, as it will be released at 7pm PT on December 21. That means, it will be released at 8:30am Indian Standard Time (IST) on December 22, 2023.

However, recently while talking to Entertainment Weekly, Zack Snyder opened up about all of his hard work, choosing actors for each and every role, how the Star Wars inspired him, how he got the idea of making Rebel Moon, and lots more.

Zack Snyder reveals his first and obvious choice was Sofia Boutella

While talking about Kora, the main lead, Snyder revealed that Sofia Boutella was always his first choice. He did not even think about any other actress for that role, because Sofia’s personality and characteristics match quite well with Kora. Her dark history, her redemptive journey, the vulnerability, the toughness, everything matched so well with Sofia. He also shared that Sofia’s good understanding in choreography made it easier to make her understand about the Kora character.
