Rajinikanth, who plays Moideen Bhai in Lal Salaam, penned a heartfelt note for his daughter, director Aishwarya Rajinikanth, as the film hit theatres today

Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s eagerly anticipated political sports drama Lal Salaam released in theatres today. And wishing her the best was none other than her father, superstar Rajinikanth. The superstar, who has a cameo in the film, posted a sweet note for his daughter on his X handle to mark her film's release. Rajnikanth's Tamil post translates to, “My anbu (love) salaam to my beloved daughter. I pray to the almighty that your film Lal Salaam is a huge success.”
Lal Salaam is director Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s third feature film, which stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles. The film, which was released today (February 9), has been getting positive reviews from audiences who have lauded her for handling such a sensitive film well. Many enjoyed the film’s screenplay and were also impressed by the lead actors’ performances. Although superstar Rajinikanth only has a cameo role in the film, his screen presence has been receiving huge applause in theatres. AR Rahman’s genius music composition has touched the hearts of many. Overall, the film has been getting positive reviews and is expected to make Rs 4 crore on Day 1, according to industry tracker Sacknilk.

Vishnu Vishal, who is one of the leading men in the political sports drama, is quite upbeat. During a pre-release event for Lal Salaam, the Ratchasan star expressed his admiration for Rajinikanth, saying that he was "proud" of Rajinikanth for doing Lal Salaam. “Not everybody has the courage to act in such a film,” Vishnu had said.

Rajinikanth Moideen Bhai in Lal Salaam, who is a Muslim leader who fights for communal harmony during a riot-like situation. Directed and co-written by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the film also stars Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar, Dhanya Balakrishna and Thambi Ramaiah in supporting roles.
