Reacher fans, listen up. Just as you wait for Season 2 of the hit show to drop, the makers have announced emphatically that the Season 3 is already underway. Alan Ritchaon, aka Jack Reacher himself, made the official announcement through a video message, shared via Prime Video's official social media handle.

"You know what (else) December is a season of? Surprises. And boy do I have a surprise for you," said Ritchson in the video message before disclosing that Season 3 is already on floors. To add to that pleasant surprise, he also teased fans with a 'sneak peek' promo of Season 2.

Reacher Season 2 is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on December 15th.

In the promo, Jack Reacher, the self-proclaimed drifter is found in an undisclosed town where he volunteers to "help" a woman who has been carjacked. Passing on a set of small instructions to the woman in his trademark style, he reaches the car and deals with the carjacker in a manner that only he could. He also saves a little boy stranded on the backseat of the car and then simply walks away into oblivion. Just like that.

If Reacher Season 1 saw the titular character find himself in the depths of an international counterfeiting scam (one that his brother was investigating before passing away), Season 2 will handhold us into Jack Reacher's recent past as a military police investigator. The previous teaser released by Prime Video reveals that the members of his previous Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations, are being mysteriously and brutally murdered, Reacher is compelled to jump back into action to get to the bottom of the sinister scam. He reunites with three of his old teammates - Frances Neagly, Karla Dixon, and David O'Donnell - in these pursuits as he uncovers newer truths. Of course, he will be forced to unleash his wits and strength in equal measure as he goes about things but it seems quite evident that no one should bother messing with the '110th Special Investigators', especially when Reacher is still around.

'Reacher' is based on Lee Child's supremely successful 'Jack Reacher' series of books, with Season 1 based on the first novel of the series 'Killing Floor' and Season 2 on the eleventh novel 'Bad Luck and Trouble'.
