RDX director Nahas Hidayath reveals he was abused online before the film's release

Nahas Hidayath, the director of RDX, has been getting a lot of attention after the film's successful run at theatres. He is being praised for captivating audiences with the film, which viewers have said doesn't have a dull moment. Now, the young director has revealed that he was the victim of several online attacks before the film's release.

Nahas Hidayath: I was abused on social media

Nahas has revealed that he was on the receiving end of a lot of abuse and profanity on social media after the release of RDX's first-look poster. The trolls warned him repeatedly not to release the film during Onam. He was even added to a WhatsApp group, where he received further abuse.

Nahas added that other members of the team, including the producers, have also been subjected to negative comments and abuse. But through it all, Nahas received support from the producers, who reminded him that the only opinions that matter are those of the public after the film's release.

Nahas Hidayath did not want to cast Babu Antony initially

During one interview, Nahas revealed that he initially didn't want to cast veteran Malayalam action star Babu Antony since he didn't have action scenes for him. Nahas did not want to give Babu Antony a character who did not have any action scenes due to his reputation in Malayalam cinema. However, the producers wanted Babu Antony in the film, and the script was eventually changed to include more scenes with the veteran actor, which seems to have worked for the film.

RDX's cast and crew

RDX is an action entertainer that released in theatres on August 25. The film has three leads: Antony Varghese, Neeraj Madhav, and Shane Nigam. It is playing to packed theatres, and audiences have been calling it a complete entertainment package.

The film is a family drama with thrilling action sequences that have never before been seen in Malayalam films . Apart from the three male leads, the film also stars Lal, Mahima Nambiar, Aima Sebastian, Maala Parvathy, Vishnu Agasthya, and Baiju Santhosh in important roles.
