The team of Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan’s Jai Ganesh has roped in actress Mahima Nambiar as its female lead. The makers of the film took to their social media handles to announce her casting in the upcoming comedy-entertainer, which is helmed by Ranjith Sankar.

Chandramukhi star Mahima joins Jai Ganesh team  

The occasion of Kerala Piravi, November 1, served as the perfect day for this exciting announcement. Welcoming his new co-star, Unni Mukundan wrote on his social media post saying, “Mahima Nambiar joins the talented crew of #JaiGanesh! #WelcomeMahimaNambiar”. 

The actress who was last seen in the blockbuster RDX, expressed her delight at being a part of the upcoming comedy entertainer. She took to her Instagram to share her excitement, and wrote on a post, saying, “Super thrilled to be a part of @jaiganeshmovie. Thank you, @ranjithsankar, @iamunnimukundan. I can't wait to start working with the Jai Ganesh team.” 

The film is all set to have a puja function on November 9, with its shoot commencing a day later on November 10. Director Ranjith Sankar, who is known for films such as Passenger and Njan Marykutty, will be co-producing this project along with Unni. This marks their first collaboration together.

Unni Mukundan signs a slew of projects

The Malikappuram star has several projects lined up. He is currently shooting for the Tamil movie Karuden, directed by Durai Senthil Kumar and featuring Soori and Sasikumar. Additionally, he is preparing for the shooting of Gandharva Jr, a fantasy drama with Vishnu Aravind. 

Meanwhile, he has also signed up for a dramedy titled Get-Set Baby! that is written by YV Rajesh and directed by Vinay Govind. The actor is also set to appear in the upcoming gangster thriller Marco, directed by Haneef Adeni.
