The unfortunate part was that the makers initially couldn’t secure an OTT partner for its digital release. However, Aha came to the rescue, acquiring the digital rights for a significant price and making Razakar available for streaming from January 24, 2025.
The film has taken a solid start on Aha, clocking over 30 million streaming minutes already. The Anasuya Bharadwaj starrer has been trending in the number one spot on Aha’s top ten list since its release. With no notable OTT releases in recent weeks, audiences have flocked to the film in large numbers.

Additionally, the makers ensured the film stayed in the news ahead of its OTT debut, which helped Razakar gain momentum on the platform. The lack of major OTT releases during the Sankranthi season created a void, which turned out to be a significant advantage for the film.
Set in the Nizam era, the film explores the Razakar rule and how it oppressed the common people in Hyderabad. Bobby Simha and Vedhika played key roles, while Anasuya Bharadwaj’s powerful performance has become a major talking point since the film began streaming on Aha. Clips of her heartfelt performance are being widely shared on social media.
Despite the hefty production budget, Razakar didn’t succeed in theaters. However, the OTT release has turned into a blessing in disguise, putting the makers in a financially safe position.
