Could Ravi Teja be termed Telugu cinema’s Akshay Kumar, given the pace at which he wraps films and moves onto projects? Despite the debacles of Khiladi and Ramarao on Duty earlier this year, the star will have another go at the box office in 2022 with Dhamaka, the action entertainer directed by Cinema Choopista Mama maker Trinadha Rao Nakkina. Sreeleela is the female lead.
Ahead of its release in September, the makers of Dhamaka have formally commenced the film’s promotional campaign by releasing the film’s first single - Jinthaak, sung by Mangli and Bheems Ceciroleo. The latter is also the composer of the project. Now, the team is gearing up to release a special glimpse of the film on August 31 at 5.01 pm, commemorating Vinayaka Chavithi.
In a special poster released today, Ravi Teja is drawing his on-screen love Sreeleela close to him in a house. Dressed in a shiny yellow costume, Sreeleela looks beautiful and elegant in the poster. TG Vishwa Prasad is bankrolling the film under People Media Factory in collaboration with Abhishek Aggarwal Arts. Vivek Kuchibhotla is the co-producer. The production houses also teamed up for Karthikeya 2.
Prasanna Kumar Bezawada has come up with the story and dialogues. Karthik Gattamneni, who also worked on the super hit film Karthikeya 2 recently, has cranked the camera for the same. Ram-Lakshman have choreographed the action sequences while Srinagendra Tangala is the production designer. Prawin Pudi is the editor of Dhamaka. Other details about the film will be announced soon.
Ravi Teja’s upcoming releases apart from Dhamaka are the courtroom drama Ravanasura and the actioner Tiger Nageswara Rao, a pan Indian film. Sreeleela is part of Nithiin’s next with Vakkantham Vamsi and plays the female lead in the launch vehicle of Kireeti Reddy, son of politician Gaali Janardhan Reddy. She was also roped in as the leading lady for Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju.
