Everything about the movie was top-notch, and the love for the two films just keeps pouring even after over a decade of its release. But did you know even Ravi Kishan was in contention to star in the movie, but his bizarre unusual demand led to the makers taking a step back, and he lost the part?

Ravi Kishan On Losing Gangs Of Wasseypur

Well, Gangs Of Wasseypur as a film is already giving us some fodder to get entertained on. The cast of the movie was immaculate, and most of the seasoned artists you see in various projects today were in some way connected to the film. Vicky Kaushal was an assistant director on the GOW sets, so you know what we are talking about. So there was also a point where Anurag Kashyap had approached Ravi Kishan to play a part, but his demands made the filmmaker replace him. Read on to know everything you should about the same. 

In the latest interview, Ravi Kishan got candid about losing a very pivotal part in Gangs Of Wasseypur. The actor did not reveal which part he was offered to play in the Anurag Kashyap movie, but he revealed how he had an obsession with bathing in milk back in the day, and that cost him the role in the GOW films. Further, he emphasized that this demand reached Anurag Kashyap, who decided not to go with Kishan and chose another actor to play the part. Kishan added that somebody even spread some rumors about him.

Speaking to Shubhankar Mishra, Ravi said, “I used to bathe in milk. I used to enjoy it. Somebody told this to Anurag Kashyap. I am an eccentric; that’s why I’m an artist. If I was a normal person, I would be working in an office, carrying a tiffin box to work. Anurag said that he didn’t have the budget for my demands, and that’s why I lost the film. Somebody spread some other rumors about me as well. Everyone in that movie broke out afterward.”

This is not the first time he has spoken about this phase where he had a newfound obsession with bathing in milk and sleeping on rose petals. On Aap Ki Adalat, talking about the same, he revealed how he used to think of himself as a big star and would do such things only so people could talk about him. “I used to think of myself as a big star; I thought this was important. People would show me Al Pacino and Robert De Niro's films, and tell me how they used to behave. I was shown The Godfather 500 times, but I'm a desi performer. So, yes, I used to make these demands. I thought if I bathed in milk, people would talk about it.”
