After scoring two consecutive hits Dhamaka and Waltair Veerayya, Ravi Teja was seen in another action thriller in 2023 - Ravanasura. The film, directed by Sudheer Varma, that had him donning the lawyer’s suit for the first time in his career spanning more than two decades. Written by Srikanth Vissa, the thriller, produced by Ravi Teja and Abhishek Nama, had five female leads - Daksha Nagarkar, Megha Akash, Faria Abdullah, Anu Emmanuel and Pujita Ponnada.
While Ravanasura opened to mixed reviews and started decently at the box office, it failed to make progress post the initial weekend. The OTT premiere date was advanced as a result. Amazon Prime Video bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the biggie and surprisingly decided to premiere the film sans hullabaloo. The film landed on the streamer on April 28 (today).
Ravanasura tells the story of a criminal lawyer Ravindra who takes up a high-profile murder case. However, a cop suspects a link between the lawyer and a series of a few brutal murders. The film is out in India and across 240 countries and territories worldwide and can watched with Prime membership.
