Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen in the role of Inspector Deepak Negi in the Zee5 film Rautu Ka Raaz very soon. The movie will be available on the platform as well as OTTplay Premium from June 28, but before that, the makers have released a new promo. In this clip, we see Nawazuddin’s Negi turn into a super cop with just one super tip. Guess what that is…

What is the super tip?

“Hamesha woh mat dekhiye jo dikhaaya jaa raha hai, balki woh dekhne ki koshish kijiye jo chupaaya jaa raha hai,” Deepak Negi said famously in the trailer and the recently released promo. He is talking about the murder investigation case that is assigned to him. It is the Rautu murder case. Although it might appear to be a suicide or natural death case, there sure is more than what meets the eye, and Negi knows that already.

Is it a murder case?

When Negi arrived in Rautu, Mussoorie, Himachal Pradesh, he was greeted with a lazy village and an equally lazy force assigned to the case. A local officer is heard telling Negi, “Hum Rautu vaasiyo ka manana hai ki hamaare yahaan marti hai, maari nahi jaati,” while pointing to the woman’s dead body.

About Rautu Ka Raaz

15 years after living in peace and harmony, there’s a murder in Rautu. Villagers refuse to believe so but are cautious on hearing the word murder. There’s a lot of gossip, and most of all, it is about Negi. He is a great cop, pronounced super cop, but there sure is a lot more to him.

Not just Nawazuddin, the film features a few other known faces like Rajesh Kumar, Atul Tiwari and Narayani Shastri. Rautu Ka Raaz, initially titled Rautu Ki Beli, is a direct-to-OTT release. The movie will be out on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium. It will be available for streaming from June 28.
