Helmed by Rohit Padaki, the film stars Dhananjay and Reba Monica John in lead roles

The much-anticipated Kannada film Rathnan Prapancha finally gets a release date. The streaming giant Amazon Prime Video has announced the date of its release with a poster on Instagram. The Dhananjaya and Reba Monica John starrer will now release on October 22 on the platform.
Sharing the poster, the platform wrote: "9 characters and 1 interesting story, we welcome you to explore Mr Rathnakara's world. Watch #RathnanPrapanchaOnPrime, Oct 22."

Directed by Rohit Padaki, the film marks the second project Reba Monica John in the Kannada film industry after the Rishi starrer film Sakalakala Vallabha. The film is being produced by Yogi G Raj and Karthik Gowda under the banner KRG Studios. This is the first venture of KRG Studios. The team began the shoot in November 2020. The film suffered several delays in shooting and dubbing due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
The plot of the movie revolves around Dhananjaya's character Ratnakara, an insurance agent. His mother is played by senior actor Umashree in the film.
The film also stars Pramod of Premier Padmini fame and Yaana actor, Vainidhi Jagadish. They will be seen playing major roles. Music is scored by Ajaneesh B Lokanth while the camera work is done by Sreesha Kuduvalli.
