Rashmika's Pogaru to release on THIS day on aha

Pogaru, the Kannada commercial potboiler starring Dhruva Sarja and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, was a smash hit at theatres upon its release earlier this year. Given the popularity of the lead actress across Tamil and Telugu languages, the film was simultaneously released in Telugu (the same title as Kannada) and Tamil (as Semma Thimiru) on the same day as the original version. While the Kannada version of the film has already released on Voot, aha is set to premiere the Telugu dubbed film on July 2.

The film tells the story of Shiva, a youngster, whose bitter past haunts him all his life. Not a day goes by where he doesn't remember his deceased father, while he takes care of his mother and showers her with immense love. An incident involving his sister transforms Shiva like no other and he's now committed to save the people in his neighbourhood, come what may. What triggers this transformation and what are its after-affects?

Directed by Nanda Kishore, Pogaru has music by Chandan Shetty, with ace cinematographer Vijay Milton cranking the camera. aha's dubbed movie release-spree is set to continue with Pogaru, while they premiere two Tamil hit movies Jiivi and LKG on June 25. Some of their dubbed Telugu releases recently include Sulthan, Kala, Anukoni Athidhi, Luca and Shylock.
