The makers of Animal held a special screening of the Ranbir Kapoor-Rashmika Mandanna starrer at the Jio Plaza, in Mumbai, on November 30. While the event was graced and illuminated by the likes of Alia Bhaat, Mahesh Bhaat, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Tripti Dimri, Suresh Oberoi, and Shakti Kapoor, the amusé-bouche of the evening was the press meet.

While the main trio of Animal, Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna were asked various questions about the film and their experience doing it, the latter was posed with a question about her character. The Pushpa actress candidly answered, “While shooting for the movie, I just knew that this character, which I was doing, the Geetanjali character, was one who knew the hero the most and had seen him grow up. The feelings that she had for him were deep-rooted, and it was selfless love.”

Rashmika Mandanna further elaborated on how she prepared herself to emotionally portray the sensitive character of Geetanjali, “You can be a different personality outside but when you have to play a character like Geetanjali, you have to, sort of like, bring out those emotions from deep within, that even you didn’t know that you had. You know, it was so deeply rooted, that I think it was so fascinating to me.” The Goodbye actress chirpily concluded, grinning cheekily, “And also, it was fun, I loved it.”

The actress was glamorously dressed for the event in a brown bodycon gown, with smoky eyes, beachy waves, and a ready smile to turn all heads. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal is set for a theatrical release on December 1, 2023, offering a tough tussle for the top spot with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. The film will be available in five languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
